My Work

I compare my painting to a solitary mountain ascent. A steep mountain with many difficulties, but once the summit is reached, the human and the divine meet in silence.

It is difficult to describe this intimate moment, which shortly thereafter leads me to represent the unfathomable with colors, shapes, and symbols. My paintings of inner listening tell of a world of sunrises and sunsets, of timeless silence, of islands of water and bread, of glances beyond, of light and shadow, of rainbows.

I find inspiration in the revealed word, as well as in observing the Friulian landscape, which becomes an occasion for a transfiguration of the real image. They are inner windows that open to personal infinity.
